From the Waves to the Shore

Updated: Aug 22

I set sail with dreams in tow,

Casting them into the sea below,

Not to drown in depths unknown,

But to ride the waves that bring me home.

From the coast, my small boat sways,

Carrying me through watery ways,

And in your embrace, I find my land,

A quiet harbour, where I can stand.

The ocean’s breath, the wind’s soft plea,

Carries me to where I long to be,

Yet the waves of life, they twist and pull,

Leaving me adrift in a sea so full.

Oh, spirit of the deep blue tide,

Guide my boat, stay by my side,

Through tempests wild and waters vast,

Your love shall be my steadfast mast.

In every wave that laps my hull,

Your name, a song, so beautiful,

A melody that guides me still,

Through every storm, each towering hill.

The seas may rage, the skies may weep,

But I press on, where dreams run deep,

For on the shore, a promise lies,

In the tender light of your shining eyes.

The ocean whispers, secrets shared,

In every journey, love declared,

From the depths where nymphs do hide,

To the shore, where we reside.

So I journey on, through night and day,

Following the waves that point the way,

To the shore where our hearts unite,

In the golden glow of morning light.

Yet as I sail, a thought remains,

Shall I seek the shore or deep domains?

For in the sea, your truth is found,

But in my faults, we both are bound.

In secret coves where worlds collide,

I find you waiting, arms open wide,

A place where sea and shore entwine,

And love becomes our endless sign.

The journey’s long, the path unclear,

But with you, there’s nothing to fear,

For in the travel, we find our peace,

In every wave, our love’s release.

And so I sail, with heart in hand,

Across the sea, to reach the land,

Where you and I shall rest at last,

Our journey’s end, the die is cast.
