Fading Colours

In twilight's hush, where shadows play,

I once held brushes, stories to convey.

An artist's heart, alive with song,

Where colours danced, and dreams belonged.

But now my hues have faded grey,

Empty pages drift, and fade away.

Like autumn leaves, loved ones depart,

Leaving a hollow heart, a shattered art.

In hollowed spaces, echoes weep,

A lonely soul, in endless sleep.

Oh, dearest ones, please hear my plea,

Set me free, and let my heart be.

Rekindle fire, that once burned bright,

Reignite desire, and end this night.

Days grow long, nights grow deep and cold,

My burdened mind, can't find its hold.

Each tick of time, a heavy toll,

Light and laughter, lost, grow old.

I grasp for joy, I reach for grace,

But sorrow shadows, every single place.

I walked away, with love in vain,

Left behind, with scars, and lingering pain.

They took my soul, and left me bare,

Fading like summer air, without a care.

Anxiety's chains, they wrap so tight,

Depression's refrain, echoes through the night.

Each moment lost, each dream denied,

A broken heart, that long has cried.

I wander now, through fields of dust,

Where every face, has turned to rust.

Hands I held, have slipped away,

Leaving me lost, without a day.

Now all I am, is just a trace,

A shadow in, a cold embrace.

Nothing remains, but days long past,

Endless echoes, shadows cast.

I rise each day, to find the sun,

But all is void, the light undone.

Fading whispers, fading hue,

A soul searching, for what's true.

A silent cry, beneath the sky,

A soul too weary, to wonder why.

Stars above, shine bright and clear,

Yet I'm still drowning, in my tears.

Would it matter, if I fade from sight?

Or would my absence, fade in light?
